Raystown Lake
Raystown Lake is a large reservoir located in central Pennsylvania, created by the construction of the Raystown Dam on the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River. Spanning approximately 8,300 acres, it is the largest lake entirely within Pennsylvania and offers a variety of recreational activities, including boating, fishing, and swimming.
The lake is surrounded by the Raystown Lake Recreation Area, which features hiking trails, picnic areas, and campgrounds. It is also home to diverse wildlife and scenic views, making it a popular destination for nature enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers alike.
