Raymond IV Of Toulouse
Raymond IV of Toulouse, also known as Raymond of Saint-Gilles, was a prominent nobleman in the 11th century. Born around 1041, he became the Count of Toulouse and played a significant role in the First Crusade. His leadership and military skills were crucial in the capture of Jerusalem in 1099, where he was named the city's first ruler.
Raymond was known for his piety and commitment to the Christian faith. He was a key figure in the establishment of the Crusader States in the Levant. After the Crusade, he returned to Toulouse, where he continued to influence the region until his death in 1105.
