Rashidi Yekini
Rashidi Yekini was a Nigerian professional footballer, widely regarded as one of the greatest strikers in African football history. Born on October 23, 1963, in Kaduna, Nigeria, he gained international fame for his powerful playing style and goal-scoring ability. Yekini played for several clubs, including Vasco da Gama in Brazil and S.C. Olhanense in Portugal, but he is best known for his time with the Nigeria national team.
Yekini made significant contributions to the Super Eagles, Nigeria's national team, particularly during the 1994 FIFA World Cup, where he scored Nigeria's first-ever World Cup goal.
