Rani Lakshmibai
Rani Lakshmibai was the queen of the princely state of Jhansi in India during the 19th century. Born in 1828, she became a prominent figure in the Indian Rebellion of 1857, also known as the First War of Indian Independence. Known for her bravery and leadership, she fought against British colonial rule to protect her kingdom and its people.
She was married to Maharaja Gangadhar Rao and became the queen after their marriage. Following her husband's death, the British attempted to annex Jhansi, which led her to take up arms. Rani Lakshmibai is remembered as a symbol of resistance and courage in Indian history.
