Rancho San Pedro
Rancho San Pedro was a large land grant in California, established in 1834 by Governor José Figueroa. It covered approximately 48,000 acres in the present-day area of Los Angeles County, primarily in the region of San Pedro and surrounding areas.
The rancho was originally part of the land owned by the Spanish and later the Mexican government. After the U.S. annexation of California, the land was confirmed to Juan José Dominguez, who played a significant role in its development. Today, remnants of the rancho's history can be seen in the local culture and heritage of the region.
