Ramphastos
Ramphastos is a genus of birds commonly known as toucans. These colorful birds are native to the tropical forests of Central and South America. They are easily recognized by their large, vibrant bills, which can be almost as long as their bodies. Toucans primarily feed on fruits, but they also eat insects and small animals.
The Ramphastos genus includes several species, such as the Keel-billed Toucan and the Toucanet. Toucans play an important role in their ecosystems by helping to disperse seeds from the fruits they consume. Their striking appearance and unique behaviors make them popular among birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts.
