Ralph H. Baer
Ralph H. Baer was a German-American engineer and inventor, best known as the "Father of Video Games." Born on March 8, 1922, he developed the first home video game console, the Magnavox Odyssey, in 1972. His work laid the foundation for the video game industry, influencing countless games and consoles that followed.
Baer also created the first light gun for video games and contributed to various gaming technologies throughout his career. He received numerous awards for his innovations, including induction into the National Inventors Hall of Fame. Baer passed away on December 6, 2014, leaving a lasting legacy in entertainment technology.
