Rainbow Colors
Rainbow colors are the result of light being refracted, or bent, as it passes through water droplets in the atmosphere. This bending of light creates a spectrum of colors that we see in the sky after rain. The seven main colors of a rainbow are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.
These colors can be remembered using the acronym ROYGBIV. Each color blends into the next, creating a beautiful arc in the sky. Rainbows are often associated with mythology and art, symbolizing hope and beauty in various cultures around the world.
