Rahm Emanuel
Rahm Emanuel is an American politician and former investment banker who served as the 55th Mayor of Chicago from 2011 to 2019. He was born on November 29, 1959, in Chicago and is a member of the Democratic Party. Before becoming mayor, Emanuel was a U.S. Representative for Illinois's 5th congressional district from 2003 to 2009 and served as White House Chief of Staff under President Barack Obama.
Emanuel is known for his strong leadership style and focus on education reform, public safety, and economic development in Chicago. He played a significant role in the city's response to various challenges, including budget deficits and public school issues. After his tenure as mayor, he was appointed as the U.S. Ambassador to Japan in 2021.
