Rafael Hernández Marín was a prominent Puerto Rican composer and musician, born on October 24, 1892, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. He is best known for his contributions to the genre of bolero, a romantic style of music that gained popularity in Latin America. Throughout his career, Hernández wrote numerous songs that have become classics, including "Lamento Borincano" and "Preciosa."
