Radiodiffusion-Télévision Française
Radiodiffusion-Télévision Française (RTF) was the first public broadcasting organization in France, established in 1949. It was responsible for radio and television broadcasting in the country, operating under government control. RTF aimed to provide quality programming and promote French culture through various media.
In 1964, RTF was restructured and became Société Nationale de Radiodiffusion-Télévision (ORTF), which continued to serve as the national broadcaster until the late 1970s. RTF played a significant role in the development of French media and laid the groundwork for modern public broadcasting in France.
