Radio Veronica
Radio Veronica is a Dutch radio station that began broadcasting in 1960. It was one of the first offshore radio stations in the Netherlands, operating from a ship in the North Sea. The station gained popularity for its music and entertainment, appealing to a young audience during a time when traditional radio was limited.
In 1974, Radio Veronica transitioned to a land-based station after the Dutch government changed laws regarding offshore broadcasting. Today, it continues to operate as a commercial radio station, offering a mix of music, news, and entertainment, while maintaining its legacy as a pioneer in the Dutch radio landscape.
