Radial Nerve Palsy
Radial Nerve Palsy is a condition that occurs when the radial nerve, which runs down the arm and controls movement and sensation in the hand, is damaged or compressed. This can lead to weakness or paralysis of the muscles that extend the wrist and fingers, resulting in a characteristic wrist drop, where the hand hangs limply.
Common causes of Radial Nerve Palsy include trauma, prolonged pressure on the nerve, or conditions like Humerus fractures. Treatment often involves physical therapy, splinting, and in some cases, surgery to relieve pressure on the nerve. Most individuals can recover with appropriate care.
