Radegund
Radegund was a 6th-century queen and a prominent figure in early medieval Europe. Born around 520, she was the daughter of a Thuringian king and became the wife of Clotaire I, the king of the Franks. After enduring a troubled marriage, she chose to leave her husband and dedicate her life to religion.
Following her separation, Radegund founded a monastery in Poitiers, which became a center for Christian learning and spirituality. She was known for her piety and commitment to helping the poor, and her legacy continues to be celebrated in various Christian traditions.
