RTTY
RTTY, or Radio Teletype, is a form of digital communication that uses radio waves to transmit text messages. It converts typed characters into a series of tones, which can be sent over radio frequencies. This method allows for reliable communication, especially in areas where voice transmission may be difficult.
Originally developed for telegraphy, RTTY became popular among amateur radio operators and in maritime communication. It uses a simple encoding system called Baudot or ASCII, enabling users to send and receive messages efficiently. Today, RTTY remains a valuable tool for hobbyists and professionals alike.
