The RMS Britannic was a British ocean liner and the third ship of the White Star Line's Olympic class. Launched in 1914, it was originally intended for transatlantic passenger service but was repurposed as a hospital ship during World War I. The Britannic was the largest ship lost during the war, sinking in the Aegean Sea in 1916 after hitting a mine.
The ship was designed to be a safer and more luxurious version of its sister ships, the RMS Olympic and RMS Titanic. Despite its tragic fate, the Britannic's legacy continues to be studied, and it remains a subject of interest for maritime historians and enthusiasts.
