R-7 Semyorka
The R-7 Semyorka is a Soviet intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) developed in the late 1950s. It was the world's first ICBM and played a crucial role in the early stages of the Cold War. The missile was designed to deliver nuclear warheads over long distances, with a range of approximately 8,000 kilometers.
The R-7 Semyorka also served as the launch vehicle for the first artificial satellite, Sputnik 1, in 1957, marking the beginning of the space age. Its design laid the foundation for subsequent rockets, including the Soyuz series, which continues to be used for space missions today.
