Quranic interpretation
Quranic interpretation, known as Tafsir, is the process of explaining and understanding the meanings of the Quran, the holy book of Islam. Scholars use various methods, including linguistic analysis, historical context, and the study of Hadith (sayings of the Prophet Muhammad), to provide insights into the text.
Different schools of thought exist within Tafsir, each offering unique perspectives. Some interpretations focus on the literal meanings of the verses, while others explore deeper, metaphorical interpretations. This diversity allows for a richer understanding of the Quran and its teachings across different cultures and eras.
