Quokkas
Quokkas are small marsupials native to Australia, primarily found on Rottnest Island and a few other locations. They belong to the macropod family, which also includes kangaroos and wallabies. Quokkas are known for their friendly demeanor and often appear to be smiling, making them popular among tourists.
These nocturnal animals are herbivores, primarily feeding on grasses and leaves. Quokkas are about the size of a domestic cat, with a round body and short tail. They are social creatures, often seen in groups, and have adapted well to their island habitat, where they face few natural predators.
