Queen Anne's Revenge
Queen Anne's Revenge was a famous pirate ship that belonged to the notorious pirate Blackbeard, whose real name was Edward Teach. The ship was originally a French slave vessel named La Concorde before being captured by Blackbeard in 1716. It was equipped with 40 guns and became one of the most feared ships in the Caribbean.
The ship met its end in 1718 when it ran aground near Beaufort Inlet in North Carolina. Although it was lost, the legacy of Queen Anne's Revenge continues to captivate historians and pirate enthusiasts. In 1996, underwater archaeologists began excavating the wreck, uncovering valuable artifacts that provide insight into pirate life.
