Quan Họ
Quan Họ is a traditional form of folk music originating from the northern regions of Vietnam, particularly in Bac Ninh province. It is characterized by its call-and-response singing style, where male and female singers engage in playful exchanges. The music often reflects themes of love, nature, and daily life, and is typically performed during festivals and cultural events.
This unique art form is recognized for its rich cultural heritage and was inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2009. Quan Họ performances usually involve traditional instruments and are accompanied by vibrant costumes, showcasing the artistic expressions of the Kinh ethnic group.
