The Quaffle is a red ball used in the sport of Quidditch, a fictional game from the Harry Potter series created by J.K. Rowling. It is one of three balls used during a match and is specifically designed for scoring goals. Players known as Chasers throw the Quaffle through one of the three hoops at each end of the pitch to earn points.
The Quaffle is approximately 30 centimeters in diameter and is made of leather. It is lightweight, allowing players to pass and shoot it easily. Each goal scored with the Quaffle is worth 10 points, making it a crucial element of the game.
