Qira'at
Qira'at refers to the various methods of reciting the Quran, the holy book of Islam. Each method has its own unique pronunciation, intonation, and sometimes even slight variations in wording. These recitations are based on different traditions passed down from the Prophet Muhammad and his companions, ensuring the preservation of the Quran's message.
There are ten recognized Qira'at, each associated with a specific reciter, such as Nafi, Hafs, and Warsh. These recitations are important for understanding the Quran in its entirety, as they reflect the linguistic richness and diversity of the Arabic language.
