Pygmy Eagle
The Pygmy Eagle is a small bird of prey found primarily in the forests and woodlands of Australia and New Guinea. It belongs to the family Accipitridae and is known for its distinctive dark brown plumage and yellow eyes. This eagle typically hunts small mammals, reptiles, and birds, using its keen eyesight to spot prey from a perch.
Pygmy Eagles are relatively solitary and can often be seen soaring or gliding in search of food. They build their nests in tall trees, using sticks and other materials. Their population is stable, and they are not currently considered endangered.
