Puru
Puru is a character from ancient Indian mythology, often associated with the epic tales of the Mahabharata. He is known as a king of the Purus tribe, which played a significant role in the history of northern India. Puru is recognized for his bravery and leadership, particularly in battles against rival kingdoms.
In some versions of the stories, Puru is also noted for his relationship with the sage Vishwamitra, who sought to test his character and resolve. Puru's legacy is tied to themes of honor, sacrifice, and the complexities of dharma, or duty, in the context of ancient Indian society.
