Provinces of Turkey
Turkey is divided into 81 provinces, each with its own unique culture, geography, and history. The provinces are further grouped into regions, such as the Marmara, Aegean, and Central Anatolia. Each province has a capital city, which often shares the same name as the province itself, like Istanbul and Ankara.
The provinces vary in size and population, with Istanbul being the most populous and Bayburt the least. Each province is governed by an appointed governor and has its own local administrative structure. This organization helps manage local affairs and development across the diverse landscapes of Turkey.
