Prophet Yahya
Prophet Yahya, known as John the Baptist in Christianity, is a significant figure in Islam and is revered as a prophet. He is recognized for his role in preaching about repentance and preparing the way for the coming of Prophet Isa (Jesus). Yahya is often depicted as a devout and ascetic individual who lived in the wilderness, emphasizing a life of simplicity and devotion to God.
In the Quran, Yahya is mentioned as a messenger who received divine guidance and was blessed with wisdom from a young age. His birth was considered miraculous, as his parents, Zachariah and Elizabeth, were elderly and had long been childless. Yahya's commitment to truth and justice ultimately led to his martyrdom, making him a symbol of righteousness in both Islam and Christianity.
