Property Deed
A property deed is a legal document that officially transfers ownership of real estate from one party to another. It includes important details such as the names of the buyer and seller, a description of the property, and any conditions of the sale. The deed must be signed and often notarized to be valid.
There are different types of property deeds, such as a warranty deed and a quitclaim deed. A warranty deed guarantees that the seller has clear title to the property, while a quitclaim deed transfers whatever interest the seller has without any guarantees.
