Princess Alexandra of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg was born on December 1, 1844, in Copenhagen, Denmark. She was a member of the Danish royal family and the daughter of Prince Christian of Schleswig-Holstein and Princess Louise of Denmark. Alexandra became well-known for her marriage to Edward VII, the King of the United Kingdom, in 1863, which significantly connected the British and Danish royal families.
Throughout her life, Princess Alexandra was involved in various charitable activities and was admired for her grace and style. She served as the Queen Consort of the United Kingdom from 1901 until her husband's death in 1910. Alexandra passed away on November 20, 1925, in Sandringham, Norfolk.
