Prince Norodom Sihanouk
Prince Norodom Sihanouk was a prominent Cambodian leader born on October 31, 1922. He served as the King of Cambodia from 1941 to 1955 and later became the Prime Minister. Sihanouk played a crucial role in Cambodia's independence from French colonial rule in 1953 and was known for his efforts to maintain neutrality during the Cold War.
Throughout his life, Sihanouk faced numerous political challenges, including coups and civil unrest. He was a key figure during the Cambodian Civil War and later lived in exile. Sihanouk returned to power in the 1990s and continued to influence Cambodian politics until his death on February 15, 2012.
