Prince Louis II
Prince Louis II was the ruler of the Principality of Monaco from 1922 until his death in 1949. Born on July 4, 1870, he was the son of Prince Albert I and Princess Mary Victoria. Louis II was known for his interest in sports, particularly in the development of the Monaco Grand Prix and the promotion of various athletic events in the principality.
During his reign, Louis II focused on modernizing Monaco and enhancing its economy, especially through tourism and gambling. He was also a patron of the arts and supported the construction of the Monaco Casino. His legacy includes the establishment of a more stable and prosperous Monaco.
