Prince Frederick, Duke of York
Prince Frederick, Duke of York (1763-1827), was the second son of King George III and Queen Charlotte. He served as a British Army officer and held the rank of General. Frederick was known for his military career and played a significant role in the Napoleonic Wars.
In addition to his military service, the Duke of York was involved in various charitable activities and reforms within the army. He is often remembered for his efforts to improve the conditions of soldiers and for his role in establishing the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
