Primary Character (Protagonist)
The primary character, or protagonist, is the main figure in a story around whom the plot revolves. This character often faces challenges or conflicts that drive the narrative forward. The protagonist typically undergoes personal growth or change throughout the story, making them relatable to the audience.
In many narratives, the protagonist is contrasted with an antagonist, who opposes their goals. The protagonist's journey often involves a quest, whether physical or emotional, and their decisions significantly impact the story's outcome. Examples of protagonists include Harry Potter, Elizabeth Bennet, and Frodo Baggins.
