Pride Flags
Pride flags are colorful banners that represent the LGBTQ+ community and its diverse identities. The most recognized flag is the Rainbow Flag, designed by Gilbert Baker in 1978, featuring six stripes in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. Each color symbolizes different aspects of the community, such as life, healing, sunlight, nature, harmony, and spirit.
Various pride flags exist to represent specific identities within the LGBTQ+ spectrum. For example, the Transgender Flag has light blue, pink, and white stripes, symbolizing the transgender community. These flags serve as powerful symbols of visibility, acceptance, and pride for individuals and communities worldwide.
