President of South Africa
The President of South Africa is the head of state and government, responsible for overseeing the executive branch of the country. This position is crucial in shaping national policies and representing South Africa on the international stage. The President is elected by the National Assembly and serves a term of five years, with the possibility of re-election.
The President also plays a key role in appointing members of the Cabinet, which includes various ministers responsible for different government departments. The current President, Cyril Ramaphosa, has been in office since February 2018, following the resignation of Jacob Zuma.
