President of Fiji
The President of Fiji is the head of state of the Republic of Fiji. This role is largely ceremonial, with the president representing the nation at official events and functions. The president is elected by the Fijian Parliament for a term of three years and can serve multiple terms.
The president's responsibilities include appointing the Prime Minister and other government officials, as well as signing bills into law. While the position holds significant prestige, the day-to-day governance of the country is primarily managed by the Prime Minister and the cabinet.
