President of Albania
The President of Albania is the head of state and serves as a symbol of national unity. This position is largely ceremonial, with the president representing the country in diplomatic matters and performing various formal duties. The president is elected by the Assembly of Albania for a five-year term and can serve a maximum of two terms.
The president has the authority to appoint the Prime Minister and other key officials, as well as to sign laws and decrees. While the role is primarily symbolic, the president can influence political processes and ensure the constitution is upheld in Albania.
