President William Howard Taft
President William Howard Taft served as the 27th President of the United States from 1909 to 1913. He was born on September 15, 1857, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was a lawyer before entering politics. Taft was known for his efforts in trust-busting and for promoting the Dollar Diplomacy policy, which aimed to extend American influence through economic means.
Before his presidency, Taft held several important positions, including Secretary of War under Theodore Roosevelt. After leaving office, he became the only former president to serve as Chief Justice of the United States, a position he held from 1921 to 1930. Taft passed away on March 8, 1930.
