President Of Croatia
The President of Croatia is the head of state and serves as the highest representative of the country. This position is elected by the citizens of Croatia for a term of five years and can be re-elected for one additional term. The president's responsibilities include overseeing foreign policy, appointing ambassadors, and serving as the commander-in-chief of the armed forces.
The role of the president is largely ceremonial, with most executive powers held by the Prime Minister of Croatia. However, the president can influence legislation and has the authority to call for elections or referendums. The current president, as of October 2023, is Zoran Milanović.
