President Hilla Limann
President Hilla Limann was the leader of Ghana from 1979 to 1981. He was a member of the People's National Party and became president after winning the elections that followed a military regime. Limann's government focused on promoting democracy and economic development, but faced challenges such as inflation and political instability.
His presidency ended when he was overthrown in a coup led by Flight Lieutenant Jerry Rawlings. After his removal, Limann lived in exile for several years before returning to Ghana. He is remembered for his efforts to restore civilian rule during a turbulent period in the country's history.
