Presentation of Jesus
The "Presentation of Jesus" refers to the event described in the Bible when Mary and Joseph brought the infant Jesus to the Temple in Jerusalem. This event took place forty days after His birth, in accordance with Jewish law, which required the purification of the mother and the presentation of the firstborn son to God.
During this event, they encountered two significant figures: Simeon, a righteous man who had been promised by the Holy Spirit that he would see the Messiah before his death, and Anna, a prophetess who recognized Jesus as the Redeemer. Their recognition highlighted Jesus' importance in the Jewish faith.
