Predatory Adaptations
Predatory adaptations are specialized traits that help animals hunt and capture their prey. These adaptations can include physical features like sharp teeth, claws, or camouflage that allow predators to blend into their environment. For example, the cheetah has a streamlined body and powerful legs for fast running, enabling it to chase down swift prey.
In addition to physical traits, some predators use behavioral adaptations. For instance, wolves hunt in packs, allowing them to coordinate attacks and take down larger animals. Other predators, like owls, have excellent night vision and silent flight, making them effective hunters in low-light conditions.
