Praesepe
Praesepe, also known as the Beehive Cluster, is a prominent open star cluster located in the constellation of Cancer. It is one of the nearest clusters to Earth, situated about 577 light-years away. Praesepe contains over 1,000 stars, with many of them visible to the naked eye, making it a popular target for amateur astronomers.
The cluster is approximately 600 million years old and is notable for its rich concentration of stars. Praesepe is often studied for its stellar evolution and is a great example of how stars can form and cluster together in space.
