Powder Coatings
Powder coatings are a type of finish applied to metal surfaces to protect and enhance their appearance. Unlike traditional liquid paints, powder coatings are made from finely ground particles of pigment and resin, which are electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the surface. Once applied, the coated item is heated in an oven, causing the powder to melt and form a durable, even layer.
This coating process offers several advantages, including resistance to chipping, scratching, and fading. Powder coatings are also environmentally friendly, as they emit fewer volatile organic compounds (VOCs) compared to liquid paints. They are commonly used in various industries, including automotive and furniture manufacturing.
