Potiphar
Potiphar is a character from the Bible, specifically in the Book of Genesis. He was an Egyptian officer and the captain of the guard for Pharaoh. Potiphar is best known for his role in the story of Joseph, the son of Jacob, who was sold into slavery in Egypt.
Potiphar purchased Joseph and recognized his talents, promoting him to a position of responsibility in his household.
