Pot Odds
Pot odds are a concept in poker that helps players determine whether a call is profitable based on the size of the pot and the cost of a potential bet. To calculate pot odds, divide the current size of the pot by the amount you need to call. This ratio helps players assess the likelihood of winning compared to the risk of losing their bet.
For example, if the pot is 100 and your opponent bets 50, the total pot becomes 150. If you need to call 50, your pot odds are 3:1, meaning you would win 150 for every 50 you risk, making it a favorable situation if your chances of winning are greater than 25%.
