Postman (film)
"Postman" is a 1997 film directed by Kevin Costner, who also stars in the lead role. Set in a post-apocalyptic America, the story follows a drifter who becomes a symbol of hope by delivering mail to isolated communities. He dons the uniform of a postal worker, reviving the idea of communication and connection in a fractured society.
The film is based on the novel of the same name by David Brin. It explores themes of survival, community, and the importance of communication in rebuilding civilization. Despite its ambitious premise, "Postman" received mixed reviews and was a box office disappointment.
