Portuguese Armed Forces
The Portuguese Armed Forces consist of three main branches: the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force. They are responsible for defending Portugal's sovereignty and ensuring national security. The forces participate in various international missions and contribute to NATO and the European Union's defense initiatives.
The Army focuses on land operations, while the Navy protects maritime interests and conducts naval operations. The Air Force provides aerial defense and support. Together, these branches work to maintain peace and stability both within Portugal and in collaboration with international partners.
