Pope Stephen X
Pope Stephen X served as the head of the Roman Catholic Church from 1057 to 1058. He was born in Italy and became a cardinal before his papacy. His reign was marked by efforts to strengthen the church's authority and address issues of corruption within the clergy.
During his short papacy, Stephen X focused on promoting peace and stability in Rome and the surrounding regions. He also worked to improve relations with the Byzantine Empire and other Christian territories. His tenure ended with his death in 1058, after which he was succeeded by Pope Nicholas II.
