Pope John VI
Pope John VI served as the head of the Roman Catholic Church from 701 to 705 AD. He was the first pope to take the name John after the previous Pope John V. His papacy was marked by efforts to strengthen the church's influence in Italy and to address various local issues, including conflicts with the Lombards.
During his time, Pope John VI also worked on improving relations with the Byzantine Empire. He is remembered for his contributions to the church's administration and for promoting peace within the Christian community during a period of political instability in Europe.
